New Delhi got its first 3D zebra crossing for the pedestrians at Rajaji Marg on Wednesday. The crossing that appears to be elevated, will signal motorists to stop and allow people walk across the road safely.
The zebra crossing has an optical illusion, that looks three-dimensional when viewed from a distance. It aims to grab the attention of the motorists and eventually slow down their speed.
In a first of its kind experiment in Delhi, this initiative should help in reducing road accidents in the city.
